Haiti Earthquake Relief

Haiti was recently struck with a 7.2 magnitude earthquake leaving approximately 2,200 dead. Additionally, thousands of homes, schools, and churches were either destroyed or damaged. Many families and individuals are left needing urgent care and support to aid their recovery and relief.

Deerfield Beach High School has joined the many institutions organizing drives and raising funds to support the victims of those affected by the earthquake. Throughout September, DBHS will be collecting medical supplies, nonperishable food, water, blankets, and camping gear.

Bucks can show their support and donate these new or used supplies to the various donation boxes located throughout the school, such as Student Affairs, Welcome Center, and the IB hallway. Students can also look out for donation boxes in some of their teacher’s classrooms throughout the school day like Mrs. Hill in room 161 and Mrs. Supplice in room 538
