Student I.D. are used for each student receiving a meal as they proceed through the breakfast and lunch lines. So it is best practice to keep them around a neck to be scanned at the end of the line.

May starts the E.O.C. and FAST testing for Deerfield Beach High with the first test being P.M. 3 on Wednesday, May 1st. The pink and yellow lists are up for all 9th and 10th graders to check in the main mall. But there are several 11th and 12th graders who are testing that day to meet a graduation requirement on a white list. Bells will be held for first and second period due to those testing along with the I.B. tests that day.

The Unity 4 Teens Youth Development Program will be offering 2024 Summer Program here on Deerfield’s campus starting Monday, June 17th. Students can register for classes to help prepare for the future, such as career exploration and college readiness. All registration must be done through the link on the school’s website.

Congratulations to Dalila Galarza who is being recognized for her outstanding Holocaust Artwork in the Florida State Mandates Contest. Her work is being displayed at the K.C.W. Building, which is Broward Schools’ downtown Fort Lauderdale Office.

D.B.H.S. will be offering Algebra 1 E.O.C. review in room 133 and Geometry E.O.C. in room 135 today, April 23rd. These review sessions will be held after school from 2:50 p.m. until 3:50 p.m. every Tuesday.

Join Broward School’s next town hall on the dangers of drugs at Coral Springs High next week on Tuesday, April 30th at 6:00 p.m. Students will earn service hours and even more if they bring a parent or guardian.

The City of Deerfield invites teens that are 14 or 15 years old to pick up a Future Leaders application at the Teen Center starting Monday, May 6th. The Youth Job Experience and Mentorship Program is an 8-week summer schedule for the residents of the City of Deerfield Beach.

Coach Forbes will be in the wrestling room after school today, April 23rd and tomorrow, April 24th until 3:30 p.m. to allow any uniforms or equipment not turned to be done so or you will be put on obligation. Also, all lockers must be cleared out at this time, any items unclaimed will be discarded after tomorrow.

Freshman Academy is having their 3rd quarter Grade Incentive, which is a Field Day. Ninth grade student can look for their names to see if they are eligible on the list posted on the Freshman Academy Canvas page. Those students will stop by the rotunda on Friday, April 26th during A or B lunch to get their wristband for the event.

Those seniors who plan on participating in June’s commencement ceremony must purchase their Jostens Cap & Gowns before Friday, May 3rd or will not be allowed to walk across the stage.

Deerfield will be celebrating their Class of 2024 Destination Day on Wednesday, May 1st during both A and B lunches by the rotunda. Staff and seniors can support of post-secondary plans by wearing college and or military branches. Everyone should be taking pictures and sharing the celebration of graduation with using the DBHS Experience hashtag.

There is a graduation assembly on Tuesday, April 30th for seniors during 6th Period. Twelfth graders will report to their 6th period class for attendance and an announcement will be made to release the Class of 2024 members to the auditorium.
