Moving to a bigger campus

Transitioning from middle school to high school is an exciting time for students. It can also be very stressful, especially at a school as large as Deerfield Beach High School. Serving well over 2,000 students on a daily basis requires a building that is much larger than the middle schools students left behind subsequently leaving many freshmen overwhelmed and daunted by its sheer size.

Freshman Orientation is designed to reduce some of this anxiety by offering students the opportunity to learn their way around DBHS policies before the school year fully begins. So Deerfield Beach’s Freshmen Assembly will be held on Thursday, August 25th in the auditorium during 5th period.

Students who are worried that they will forget or not know when to leave, an announcement will be made to release all 9th graders to the auditorium.
