Is It Worth It?

Toys for Bob released a new game on October 2, 2020, called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. A continuation of the Crash Bandicoot game series. With this new game, famous rapper Quavo was showing support and was even a part of the trailer. Of course, with all the hype one would wonder, is it worth the price?

The game has very smooth graphics, and includes vibrant colors that pop and attract the viewers’ attention. With new games coming out all the time, Crash Bandicoot creates a sense of nostalgia for gamers who played the first game back in 1996. The Crash Bandicoot series has been going on since the 1990’s, and continues to get the gamers attracted and wanting to play to see if they can beat it.

Some things do ruin the experience of this new game. Many people are upset that the game has changed too much, with its level of difficulty being higher than ever that it feels nothing like the original. They also have been saying that it shows new mechanics which causes it to be even harder to use the controls. Which doesn’t help when the game switches between characters that use different controls, as well as making gameplay not so great. Then there is the price, it isn’t too overpriced, but it is not the cheapest either. The game costs 60 dollars but people have been buying the game to resell it on eBay for up to 80 dollars.

Overall, the game itself is not horrible, and after getting the mechanics down for the characters, the game becomes a lot easier. The price of the game doesn’t match the game itself, but if lowered, then it would be more understandable for the game. I personally don’t play video games too often nor do I have anything against Crash Bandicoot 4, but if I were to rate the game it would be a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
