The 2024 softball season begins
The beginning of February marked the start of Deerfield Beach High School’s 2023-2024 softball season. Although they had a rough start, they showed lots of potential in becoming a great team. The girls come together to build a dynamic team filled with skills and efficiency.
They proceeded to have their first game right as the season began and a second one only one week after. The team consists of 20 players, with Coach Gunter guiding them into being the best team they can be.
Coach Gunter, an experienced softball coach, is known for his strategic mind and his ability to motivate and inspire his players. Under his leadership, the team has been working hard in practice, focusing on improving their running, catching, hitting for power, throwing, and hitting for contact skills.
Their last game is set to happen on April 29th with Piper High School. They are up against a tough opponent with their last game resulting in a loss of 17-1. But Gunter’s guidance and the players’ determination have given them the confidence they need.
This potential win can boost the team’s morale and solidify belief in their talent. They know that with hard work, dedication, and guidance, this could become a solid future for DBHS softball. The players are excited about what the rest of this time holds and are eager to continue improving for the betterment of the group.
