Recognizing Key Club president
Deerfield Beach High School senior Kailey Scott has been serving her community and fulfilling her duties as the Key Club president. Key Club is a global organization that has existed since 1925. Its purpose is to serve communities while also helping high school students build character and leadership skills.
Key Club has played a significant role in Kailey Scott’s life. She finds it fulfilling to see the impact she has on her community. Being a part of Key Club has brought her happiness and aided in her personal development. Kailey has also mentioned that she has witnessed how Key Club has transformed introverted students into leaders, allowing them to improve and sharpen their skills.
“I would encourage others to join Key Club as you can directly see the impact you have on the community,” Key Club President Kailey Scott said. “Whether that be by helping at a city event or running a local food pantry, there is always a way you can help others.”
Kailey Scott, as the President of the Key Club, carries out a broad range of responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm. She is responsible for organizing meetings, correlating events and activities, and cooperating closely with the faculty and Kiwanis advisors. Her primary focus is ensuring that all tasks are executed with precision and effectiveness while devising activities that guarantee a fulfilling experience for all participants. Kailey’s primary objective is to inspire and motivate individuals to spread a message of success and positivity.
“The message I am trying to emphasize throughout Key Club is that ambition is a highly valuable trait,” Scott said. “I want to encourage members to pursue their various goals whether personal or community based.”
Kailey describes Key Club as a place where she has found a sense of family and how serving it for four years has become an integral part of her identity. She met her closest friends through Key Club, and they continue to inspire her to strive to help others. Currently, Kailey Scott’s goal is to graduate with her International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and in the future, she aspires to earn a degree in mechanical engineering after graduating from college.
