Live at the iThink Amphitheater

There’s no better place than the iTHINK Financial Amphitheater to witness the best live music. Located at West Palm Beach, Florida, it is an outdoor concert venue filled with 19,000 seats and sunset views. The theater officially opened on April 26th, 1996, and since then, the theater has gone through many changes and has been used to host concerts with many artists.

A recent artist that was at the venue is Odesza, an American electronic music duo that formed in Bellingham, Washington in 2012. On July 22nd, 2022, Odesza released their album The Last Goodbye. It was a hit with fans. Not only that but some of the album’s songs made their way into commercials such as a commercial for FIFA 2023. Fans of the duo were thrilled to find out that they would be going on tour. The Last Goodbye tour will go on from August 30th to October 19th. Luckily for fans in South Florida, they had the chance to catch them a couple weeks ago on September 9th.

“My favorite song on Lana Del Rey’s album is Margaret. I really like the song overall and can’t wait to see her live,” said Deerfield Beach High School sophomore Valerie Palacios.

The long-awaited American indie-pop songwriter Lana Del Rey, who has made a mark on this world with her songs like “Summertime Sadness” and “Born to Die”, will have her fans on cloud nine with her concert on September 23rd. Earlier this year, Lana announced her fall tour dates after her newly released album, Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, became the reason for her biggest opening week. The Financial iTHINK Ampitheater is the perfect venue for fans all around.

“My favorite song on the album was Peppers. Lana Del Rey is one of my favorite artists and she means a lot to me,” said DBHS sophomore Jeiry Rivera.

The Ampitheater also had the honor of hosting the American heavy metal band, Avenged Sevenfold, on June 2nd, 2023. Their latest album, Life Is But a Dream, is the band’s eighth studio release and was met with interesting results; fans were confused to see where the band went with this album. Although it ended up being the band’s least-selling album, it still gained positive attention from fans. On April 11th, the band announced that they would be all over North America for the Life Is But a Dream Tour Pt. 2 from September 16th through October 15th. On that promise, they were in West Palm Beach on September 16th with an opening by Falling in Reverse.

“I listen to Avenged Sevenfold very often and I would love to see them live. I haven’t listened to their latest album, but I plan to. They’re very inspirational to me and nostalgic as well,” said DBHS sophomore Serena Tritt.

Every fan is eager to find a location nearby for their favorite artists’ new and upcoming concert. A place like this Amphitheater is a gift for everyone in South Florida. More concerts will be held during this month and a schedule is already set for as far as 2024.
