The start of the holiday shopping

Just hours after being stuffed from Thanksgiving, Black Friday takes place. Black Friday is an annual event day where shoppers can enjoy buying gifts, presents, household items, and almost anything for a cheaper price.

On every Black Friday, millions of shopping items are discounted in stores across the United States. Most prices drop around 34% during this time of shopping. It started as a day when shoppers and tourists flooded into stores the day after Thanksgiving to get their Christmas shopping started.

Today, Black Friday is the day right after Thanksgiving, about four weeks away from Christmas. The event gives everyone a chance to save money yet still have an amazing holiday.

Although Black Friday sounds like a brilliant money-saving event, it does not always turn out the way it’s supposed to. Well, since shopping becomes a hassle due to competing with other shoppers. It results in accidents, arguments, headaches, and many more problems. It has encouraged other shopping holidays to be created such as Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday is very similar to Black Friday however, it takes place online. Most of the issues from Black Friday are solved since no angry customers are yelling, headaches, or cramped crowds, and it is easier since all shoppers need to do is to open a device and begin shopping.

However, since there are no more crowds, problems can still be faced when products are out of stock since others have taken them. Websites can also crash due to massive amounts of shoppers ordering items simultaneously.

Most believe that stores do not do well because of the discounts, but instead, it gives new shoppers that are not familiar with that store the chance to have an enjoyable time so they can return, benefiting stores. Items like electronics from apple or appliances are most commonly ordered on Cyber Monday.

Black Friday has evolved from a day of shopping into a day dedicated to deals and sales. This years Black Friday will take place on November 26th.
