Video games are becoming bigger and bigger with more people eager to play. However, what are the games that make everyone obsessed with playing them?
Developed by Mojang Studios, Minecraft is currently the best-selling video game. Since its release in late 2011, it has been loved by millions and, has expanded into something way bigger. It is a sandbox video game meaning that the player can create or play however they desire.
Minecraft allows its players to play in Creative, Survival, Adventure, or Hardcode game modes. In late 2015, Mojang Studios released an interactive video game series that let players make choices and create their stories. About a year later, Mojang Studios published an education edition that let schools teach students while making it fun.
Next, Fortnite is an online player versus player battle royale video game produced by Epic Games. The video game was released in September 2017 and gained over 10 million players at the two-week mark. It’s played as the last one standing wins the game.
With different game modes like Save the World and Creative, it lets players choose how to play the game. Save the World is a player versus environment mode played with three other teammates, and Creative allows you to play with friends and create your world.
Space-themed video game, Among Us, is an online multiplayer mystery game. Where, the key is to find the imposter among us. Developed by Innersloth and released in June 2018, it wasn’t until July 2020 that it received its major spotlight.
Up to 3 players are randomly chosen as an imposter and must blend in as a crewmate. That might sound easy however the imposters must eliminate the crewmates without being suspicious. As the whole lobby suspects, the imposters must stay alive to win, or else the crewmates win. Throughout the game, crewmates must complete tasks as imposters pretend to.
Lastly, Roblox is a game platform that has thousands of game options for players. Not only that but players themselves can create their own game and publish it onto Roblox for others to play as it is also a game creation system. The video game was published on September 1st, 2006 by Roblox Corporation.
These are just a few of the thousands of games that have been developed. Whether it’s IOS, Android, PC, PS4, or any console, there is a game for every idea, waiting to get played.
