ASVAB Test Results Received
ASVAB is a heavily researched and well-respected aptitude exam developed by the Department of Defense. It measures a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training.
The assessment allows students to see where they could qualify for a position in different branches of the Military. Taking the test does not mean a student must enlist in the Military but does allow them to get a broader perspective of post-high school life and career options.
“If a student scores at least a 31, they become eligible to look at different careers in the military,” Master Gunnery Sergeant Alberto Gomez said.
The evaluation is free and divided into 11 sections taking a total of three hours to complete. To take the test students, need to be at least 16 years old and in their junior year. Although students can take the exam, they cannot use the results to help them enlist until they are 17 years old and either a high school senior or graduate.
Students were allowed to complete the assessment on October 6th at the beginning of the school day. To view their results, individuals must report to the 240-testing center.
