Following the Bucks 41-0 triumph over the Jupiter Warriors last Friday night, Deerfield Beach has advanced to the 8A Gold tournament semifinals and will play the Western Wildcats for a chance to move on to the South Florida Tri-County Championship. The game is scheduled for this Friday, Dec. 11, at 7:00 pm at Western High in Davie, Fla (address).
Tickets are available through the end of the day Thursday, December 10 for $10 a piece and can be purchased via this link. No tickets will be sold on-site and must be presented on a mobile device to gain entry.
Top Performers from Dec. 4 against Jupiter
Marquis Pierre, Quarterback: Pierre completed 6 of his 10 passes, throwing two touchdowns for 135 yards.
Deion Smalls, Athlete: Smalls found himself in the thick of the action right from the get-go, rushing 81 yards for a score on the second play of the game.
Jamarion McDougle, Wide Receiver: McDougle was a hot target for quarterbacks Pierre and Michael Merdinger, catching three passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. He made a spectacular diving catch late in the first quarter to secure a first down for the Bucks.
Fred Eaford, Wide Receiver: Eaford, an FAU-commit, made his two receptions count; scoring a touchdown while racking up 84 yards.
The Rushing Game: Led by Smalls, Jaziun Patterson, and Keyshawn Jones, the Bucks owned the running game from start to finish, garnering 297 yards and three touchdowns.
The Entire Bucks Defensive Line: Anchored by the 310lb Alton Tarber, the defensive line was a brick wall for Deerfield Beach. They turned away the Warriors at every opportunity, squandering their attempts to establish a productive drive. FAU-commit Justice Cross and Jermaine Jefferson came up with big tackles for the Bucks as well.
