The Famous Mickey Mouse of Walt Disney is Celebrating His 92nd Birthday

Mickey Mouse made his first appearance to the public in the short film, “Steamboat Willy”, in 1928 on November 18th. The original representative of the Walt Disney brand was a character named Oswald the rabbit.

The creator of Oswald was a film producer and distributor through Universal Studios and owning the character, therefore, once he left, Mr. Walt Disney and his team had to create a new iconic figure for the company.

Disney’s inspiration for Mickey Mouse came from a tamed mouse at his desk at Laugh-O-Gram Studio in Kansas City, Missouri.

Now-a-days, the famous mouse is very widely known and is everywhere all around Walt Disney park, even on the plates.

In celebration of our favorite mouse, the Walt Disney parks and resorts pack on the cheer with music, fireworks, special Mickey Mouse themed treats and snacks, as well as showcasing a special exhibition at The Walt Disney Family Museum, Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World.
