DBHS reverts back to pre-COVID schedule
Changes are coming to the Deerfield Beach High School bell schedule. Or rather changes are going back to the original bell schedule.
Schools will be open for in-person learning starting on October 9th, but in-person learning won’t begin until the 13th and 15th.
DBHS is returning to its pre-COVID bell schedule to adjust back to the partial in person learning in schools. DBHS is staggering dismissal times to ensure all students are as safe as possible while attending in person learning.
“Social distancing is important and I’m glad our school is taking the necessary precautions to make sure everyone is safe,” junior Kahlila Torres said.
While the change in schedule is simply a shift back to the “original times”, some students feel conflicted over the change.
Sophomore, Blancaestela Rivera said,“I feel very stressed about school starting earlier, simply because I already got used to the online bell schedule”.
Whether students are learning in-person or through a computer, everyone has to shift their daily routine to fit the new schedule.
