Mentoring Tomorrow Leaders (MTL) is where men and women can prepare for college related aspects like exploring different colleges and promotes a way of being professionalized in the world. The U.S. Department of Education (USDOE), and the High School Graduation Initiative (HSGI) grant fund the MTL program. Through the five pillars plan: Academic Achievement, Mentoring, Family Involvement, Community Support, and Incentives the members are able to learn how to work together, focus more on their academic abilities, and give back to the community.
Deerfield Beach High students who have an interest in joining MTL, can get an application from Mr. Box in guidance, or Ms. Wilson in room 505, or Mrs. Furlong-Laver in the CBA hallway in room 263 B. Also, new and returning members will have to fill out a new application. Seeking more information or questions about the club can see the above people. The first MTL meeting will be held Tuesday, October 10th in the media center at 2:30pm.
