This fall, Posse Miami is looking for high school candidates to become Posse scholars. The Posse Foundation has identified, recruited and trained 7,728 public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential to become a Posse Scholar. This program has been up and running since 1989, helping students who have been overlooked through college selection.

A Deerfield Beach High School committee will be nominating twenty juniors, fifteen regular DAP, Dynamic Assessment Process, and five for STEM DAP, a DAP for students who intend to major in STEM {Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math). Nominated students will enter the selection process along with students nominated from other schools in Dade and Broward County. In the end, sixty Scholars will be selected to attend the partner Universities.

For more information in regards to the Posse Foundation, read more at their website. Applications are due Friday, May 26th at 2:30p.m. Students can drop their applications in the BRACE office, located in the back of the media center.
