Longer days and sprouting flowers signal the eventful season of spring. This time of year invites a beneficial tradition worldwide to schools, including Deerfield Beach High School, known as spring break! The break gives a whole week free from seven one-hour periods & homework, to travel or catch up on sleep & pretty much anything else. The beach steals the spotlight for one of the most popular destinations to enjoy during break, not a problem to locate in Florida.
Spring break helps let off some steam as the pressure of studying and finalizing grades tie in. Deerfield Beach High’s spring break starts April 10th following through to April 14th. Students will be returning on Monday, April 17th just in time to complete the last EOC’s and exams of this year.
Other ideas or activities to enjoy this break vary from road trips, recreational/water parks, group occasions, etc. Regardless of what this spring break has in store, always make sure to be safe and responsible with others, to others, and most importantly the environment! Clean up areas such as beaches, recycling goes a long way. Embrace the buddy system when in large groups as well as staying alert in new surroundings.
Junior, Cameron Narimisa comments on his plan for spring break as “Defiantly spending my time on the beach with friends, enjoying the sun rays and of course, gym.”
