The time of year for passionate writers has arrived once again. As April vastly approaches, students in the Communications Broadcast Arts Program will be attending the Florida Scholastic Press Association State Convention at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. Only 25 students were chosen to attend these workshops and compete in the different writing contests. Staff members and students will depart on Thursday, April 27th and return on Saturday, April 29th.
FSPA is one of the many journalism associations that promote scholastic journalism worldwide. It is where students learn an extensive amount of knowledge, skills, and techniques from the competitions that help encourage professional growth and improvement in writing abilities. Students that are attending the state convention will be competing in different contest categories, including Broadcast, Multi- Media, Photography, Writing, Newspaper, and Yearbook. There will be educational sessions, specialty vendors, expert speakers, and networking for students to have a great learning experience.
