Blood drives are a charitable activity in which people donate blood, either to maintain general supply, in response to a specific shortage, or emergency. Because of recent natural disasters the world’s blood supply has plummeted to a new low. School donations accounted for more than 15% of donated blood.
Deerfield Beach High School’s Class of ’17 is hosting their second annual Blood Drive on Wednesday, February 22nd from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the gym during A&B lunch. Students must be 16-18 years old to donate. Donators will receive two movie tickets.
Students under 18 must get their permission form signed by their parents in order to donate. Permission forms can be found in the guidance office, along with Mr. Box, sponsor of the senior class. Also see him for any further questions and information.
