The National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA), the organization for all African-American owned newspapers in the United States, also known as “The Black Press of America,” extended an invitation to Deerfield Beach High’s Reflection Staff whom sent four students to an informative and unique Youth Program during their Mid-Winter Conference.

Each Deerfield student had the opportunity to share a table with members of the Black Press on Thursday, January 26th. Plus listen to presenters including DJ Big Man Kelly from HOT 105 FM, Board Member Rosalind Osgood, and Senior Vice President of US Strategic Community Alliances Chery Grace. Topics focused on the Voices of Civil Rights, Social Justice and Change, Voices of History and Contemporary Issues, and Voices of the 21st Century Communication Technologies.
