Ready to pass that AP Class? Deerfield Beach High School’s 2015-2016 school year is coming to its last few weeks, which marks the start of final exams and AP testing. In the week of Monday, May 9th – Friday, May 13th, DBHS will administer test such as AP Biology and AP US Government & Politics. There are a variety benefits in passing an AP Exam and taking an AP class. Not only do they help students get accustomed to challenging material before they set foot into college, they also lessen the weight on your wallet. Passing this test can save a student thousands of dollars in tuition money. It also leaves colleges with a good impression.
In order to earn college credit students must pass with a 3 or higher, however some colleges only accept a score of 4 or higher. The highest score students can get on the exam is a 5. The majority of AP exams consist of three sections: multiple choice, free response, and an essay.
Students that are taking AP History must check the main hallway for their room number. Exams will begin either at 7:30am or at 12:30pm and students should receive their scores through their College Board account.
