The opportunity for receiving volunteer hours is now here. Norcrest Elementary will be hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteer hours are a graduation requirement, and if students receive over 250 hours, they will be eligible for the Bright Futures Scholarship and awarded a silver cord for graduation. The scholarship is a Florida based program with three lottery-funded scholarships, which rewards Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement. Students must have a minimum of 40 service hours in order to graduate.
Volunteers may assist on working the food stations, bounce houses, face painting, game booths and much more. If any students are interested in volunteering, they may contact the coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling them at (954) 818-2364.
