Following two previous visits to Fort Lauderdale High School and Cooper City High School, the “Conversation with the District” event will continue at Deerfield Beach High School. Hosted by school board member Ms. Rupert, the discussion allows parents, teachers, students and faculty to voice their opinions on problems the district faces. The aim of the event is to help the district to pinpoint specific areas needing attention and improvement.
The event follows a “town hall – style” meeting structure. Anyone who would like to join in as a speaker can register up to 30 minutes before the discussion begins. Broward County Public Schools is hoping to gain as much community feedback as possible so they can help better prepare students for the impending future. The event begins at 6:30 P.M. on January 21st in the DBHS auditorium.
