After countless hours of practice and attending multiple competitions the lady Bucks cheerleading squad finally got the chance to perform in the regional competition. This event took place Saturday, January 9th in the Dillard High School gymnasium at 9 a.m. There were a total of 36 teams there to compete, but the Lady Bucks only competed against the sixteen teams in their division.
In order for any of the teams to make it to states their team must get a total of 60 points including deductions. The schools that attended small non-tumbling division were Stranhan, Miramar, Florida Christian, Archbishop McCarthy, Westminster Academy, Coral Glades, Coral Springs, Royal Palm Beach, Hollywood Hills, Wellington, Coral Springs Charter, Chaminade – Madonna, Kings Academy, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Deerfield Beach. The next cheer competition will be held Saturday January 16th at 9 a.m. In the Dillard gym, tickets are 6 dollars at the door. If students have any questions contact Coach Bailey in guidance.
