74 years ago the United States was hit with a surprise military strike from the Japanese Navy. The attack took place in the United States Territory of Hawaii against the U. S naval base, on the morning of December 7th, 1941. Deerfield Beach High School’s goals is to educate students on the monumental event that took place in America’s history in the hopes that this generation and the one’s to come will never forget. On this day, December 7th, America honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The USS Arizona memorial will be honoring the man who was the ship’s oldest surviving officer, as a tribute to all those who passed from the military strike.
