In the United States, Veterans Day is a public holiday that is held on the anniversary of World War I in honor of US veterans and the victims of the war. It is held on November 11th every year to thank veterans for their services. The armistice, which is an agreement to stop fighting in a war between both sides, was signed on this day to end the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany. Due to the national holiday, there was no school on Wednesday, November 11th. The next holiday break where there will be no school will be Thanksgiving from November 25th through the 27th.
